July through October is great for salmon fishing! The first salmon arrive around the first of July
in the Ketchikan area streams. The first run of Silver's don't typically show up in the streams
until the second week of July, but occasionally they show up as early as June. Pink salmon and
Chum salmon soon join the silvers along with Sockeye and a few Kings. Many of our streams
have all five species of salmon present in July and August.
